Getting to know your carers
On moving into our care home, all residents are provided with a ‘Service User’s Guide’ containing information about the day-to-day running of the Home.
You will be personally welcomed to Gavin Astor House Nursing Home by the Deputy Care Home Manager, and introduced to your allocated nurse and Key Worker at the earliest opportunity. They will be happy to spend time with you, answering any questions you may have and listening to any concerns you may express. They are naturally very sensitive to your needs at this particularly difficult time, and will do everything they can to help you feel comfortable and settle in to life at Gavin Astor House.
All our staff wear a name badge, so you will soon get to recognise them, and although you will have closest contact with your Key Worker and their immediate colleagues, any of our staff will always be happy to give assistance if you need it.
