How to find Gavin Astor House

By train

The nearest stations are Aylesford, West Malling, Barming, Maidstone West and Maidstone East.

By bus

There is a regular service to and from Maidstone Town Centre on routes 71 and 72. Buses stop outside Sainsburys (coming from Maidstone) and Preston Hall gate (into Maidstone).

By car

From Junction 5 of the M20 follow the signs for A20 Aylesford and West Malling. Turn right at the roundabout onto A20 London Road, then turn right at the second set of traffic lights into Preston Hall. (There is a right hand filter lane and signs say Preston Hall/Hospice.) Follow the straight road towards the grey Victorian building at the end, taking the first right (at the lion statues). Now follow the signs to Gavin Astor House along the one-way system. The visitors’ car park is directly outside the building.
