Gavin Astor House Nursing Home
Gavin Astor House is a purpose-built care home for adults aged between 18 and 65 who have been assessed as needing nursing care. The Home was opened in 1993 and lies within the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds of the Royal British Legion Village in Aylesford, Kent. Situated just three miles west of Maidstone town centre, which offers plentiful shopping and entertainment, we are easily accessible from the M20 and M2 motorways, and within a short walk of a mainline station. Our car park offers ample space to park right outside the Home.
All residents in Gavin Astor House Nursing Home enjoy the benefit of their own private and well furnished room with en-suite shower and toilet facilities. Our 50 bedrooms are situated over two floors, each with its own comfortable communal lounge and dining room.
The McAllister Unit (on the first floor) and the Lewis Unit (on the ground floor) provide the same levels of care and facilities. Although the units operate independently of each other in terms of nursing care, residents are free to make friends and access the facilities on either floor by means of the passenger lift that provides easy access between them.

make this a uniquely
independent and spirited community
High staff / resident ratio
With just 50 bedrooms in our nursing home, our relatively high staff/ resident ratio means we can deliver the high levels of quality care and personal attention that our residents deserve. For those in our care it means a happy and fulfilling life in safe and comfortable surroundings. For their family and friends it means peace of mind.
