Our aim at Gavin Astor House is to enable you to live life to the full in a home from home environment, where you can enjoy as much independence as possible within safe and secure surroundings.

Your bedroom will offer you security and privacy – you will have your own key to lock the door if you want to, and your carers will respect your privacy by knocking before they enter.

For your extra comfort you will have individual control over the central heating radiators in your room, so it will always be just the right temperature for you. And your own private en-suite shower and toilet will ensure that your personal hygiene needs can always be met with dignity and privacy.

A community feel with privacy when you need it

You are welcome to bring your own personal items to make your room your own – and by the time you’ve unpacked your things and displayed your treasured photos, favourite ornaments and other bits and pieces it’ll feel just like home.

Each room is equipped with a TV point.

For your extra privacy and comfort we also provide a telephone point, so you can choose to have your own line installed (at your own expense). Alternatively, trolley payphones are available for use in residents’ bedrooms.
